“TALKING HEADS meets The Rapture.” This is how Hotpress’ Stuart Clarke described Walter Mitty & The Realists who play Strange Brew in the Róisín Dubh on Thursday January 29 at 9pm.
This Limerick/Galway based band are building up a reputation in Ireland as a great live act and are also gaining attention further afield.
The band recently won Indie Week Canada, a four-day event in Toronto featuring bands of all genres from all over the globe. Walter Mitty & The Realists over-came competition to take the title and they return to headline the festival next October.
They are also working on their debut album - due for release in the spring - with The Cranberries’ Fergal Lawler and have recorded sessions for 2FM, 95FM, and TG4. Walter Mitty & The Realists will tour Canada in March.
