Brendan O’Carroll’s The Course on tour

BRENDAN O’CARROLL’S riotous comedy play The Course will be performed in An Taibhdhearc by Mountbellew drama group The Malthouse Players.

The Malthouse Players were awarded the amateur premiere of The Course and the comic, best known for Mrs Brown’s Boys, attended the group’s opening night production in 1997. The company is reviving the play again for performances in An Taibhdhearc tomorrow and Saturday at 8pm.

Joe Daly is the instructor on Major Accident Insurance PLC course for door-to-door salespeople. His 100 per cent pupil success rates in graduation exams raises suspicions, leading group controller Burt Rubenstein to investigate. Now under Burt’s supervision, Joe struggles to meet the challenge as the next class are a “bunch of losers”. The play is directed by Margaret Farrell.

Tickets are €12/10. To book see www.antaibhdhearc.com or call 091 - 562024 or 091 - 563600.
