Over The Edge open reading

A POET, a short story writer, and an emerging Galway writer are the readers at Over The Edge in the Galway City Library on Thursday November 20 at 6.30pm.

Birmingham-Irish poet Joseph Horgan is the author of the poetry collections Slipping Letters Beneath The Sea (2008 ), The Song At Your Backdoor (2010 ), The Year I Loved England, with Antony Owen (2014 ). Since 1999 he has also written a weekly column for the Irish Post.

Donegal’s Deirdre McClay has published fiction in The Irish Times, Crannóg, Boyne Berries, Wordlegs, and The Linnet’s Wings. Her short stories have won in The Lonely Voice Competition and the Allingham Festival. Galway’s Teresa Sweeney has been published in Roadside Fiction, Number Eleven Magazine, Wordlegs, and Boyne Berries.

There will be an open-mic after the featured readers and readings from poetry students on this year’s NUI Galway MA in writing. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. All are welcome.
