Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are anxious to find candidates in the run up to the local elections and are canvassing a number of personalities.
It is understood that both parties have approached Galway Bay FM’s Ollie Turner with a view to his standing in one of the Galway County Council electoral wards in June’s Local Elections. It is not known if Mr Turner will agree to run for either party.
