The Galway Simon Community Kick Assphalt Run taking place on June 22 is nearing capacity.

The Kick Assphalt Run, sponsored by the Bon Secours Hospital Galway and NRG Fitness, is a 10k and a 10 mile run along Galway Bay.

The 10k run is perfect for those who wish to either complete that distance for the first time, or to clock up a personal best at this distance. It is suitable for over 18 runners, joggers and walkers. For those who are looking for a greater challenge, there is the 10 mile run - an excellent training platform for those looking to achieve a half or full marathon.

Timing chips, race medals, running T-shirts and goodie bags will be provided for all participants.
