Jes first year footballers do the double

The Jes first year Gaelic football squad has enjoyed a successful season, winning both the league and championship.

Last Monday in Ballyhaunis, the Jes boys won all three games before defeating Ballinamore in the league final. All 29 players on the panel saw action in the blitz.

This talented panel of younsters is unbeaten in both league and championship in the “C” grade, having played 10 games. They defeated St Enda’s in the championship final at Pearse Stadium two weeks ago.

Players such as team captain Cillian Cleary, Niall Rooney, Dara Golden, Liam Rooney (all Barna ), Joe Thompson, Conall Hanley, Cathal Forde, Daniel Reddan, Niall Hanahoe (all Salthill-Knocknacarra ), John Cunningham and Moycullen’s Evan Kenny have massive potential.
