THE RADIOACTIVE Grandma, the Cavan trio have been described as “Brit pop crossed with guitar driven new wave”, by Music Review Unsigned. Goldenplec.com said the band “have possibly the best harmonies heard since early Futureheads”; while Hotpress described their rhythms as “tighter than the tax man’s wallet”.
Galway audiences will be able to see for themselves when the trio play the Róisín Dubh this Sunday from 9pm, for the new ALIVE night, supporting underground and emerging Irish rock bands.
The Radioactive Grandma are currently recording their new album, which is the follow-up to their self-titled debut.
Support is from Dublin punk/ska outfit Chewing On Tinfoil. Admission is €3.
