Doom metal night @ The Cellar

BELFAST DOOM metallers Nomadic Rituals have been called “sonic terrorists”, “mystical tribesmen”, and “the heaviest band in the world”.

Galway music fans will have a chance to hear for themselves when the trio - Craig Carson (bass/vocals/synth ), Peter Hunter (guitar ), and Mark Smyth (drums ) - play The Cellar tomorrow from 9pm.

In 2013, the band released their debut album Holy Giantsm, which was described by music critic Lewis Clark as “a wonderfully textured and ethereal release that creates an extremely tense and foreboding atmosphere...This album really does sound like you’ve been transported to an ancient ceremony being held by a group of mystical tribesmen.”

The album is available digitally and on cassette through Nomadic Rituals’ bandcamp website.

The gig is organised by HexenHaus Promotions. Support is from post-punk noise rockers Gummidge; Ruairi Ó Baoighill; and Weed Priest. Admission is €4.
