NUI Galway postgraduate open day to highlight career opportunities

NUI Galway will host its spring postgraduate open day on Tuesday February 11, from 12 noon to 4pm in the Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn. The open day will showcase some 400 of NUI Galway’s full-time and part-time postgraduate programmes, including taught and research masters, as well as doctoral research options.

With one of the broadest portfolios of postgraduate teaching and learning in the country, NUI Galway’s postgraduate open day will give potential students the opportunity to meet and hear from academic staff and current students. More than 70 stands will offer information on the wide range of programmes, how to apply and fund your study, careers, and day to day student life at NUI Galway.

Irish graduates are ranked first in Europe in terms of how employers rank graduates, and postgraduate study boosts employability. The number of postgraduates in employment has grown consistently in recent years. NUI Galway’s well-established links with industry allow you to take the first step in building your career.

“A postgraduate qualification broadens your skills set, increases your specialist knowledge, and can improve your job prospects,” said Valerie Leahy, postgraduate recruitment officer at NUI Galway. “Over 93 per cent of NUI Galway graduates are currently employed or are in further study within six months of graduating.”
