THE RED Bird Youth Collective, the Galway city arts organisation that endeavours to be run by youths for youths, is seeking six new members to participate in its 2014 projects.
The group was formed in 2011, and has collaborated with professional artists on visual art, film, architecture, and performance projects. It aims for youths to take ownership of projects and be involved in decision making from idea stage to completion of a project.
Red Bird’s next project will be an ‘Engaging with Architecture’ project with Dominic Stevens and Ruth Le Gear which will begin in February. The group will also be working on a website, and developing documentation skills during this period.
Those interested in getting involved should email Aisling Bradley at [email protected] with their name, age, and area of interest. To be eligible to join Red Bird you must be aged between 14 and 25.
