Information evening on Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh

Gaillimh le Gaeilge has announced that Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2014 is now open for nominations. This prestigious award recognises, honours and celebrates all the great bilingual work done in Galway City and is named in honour of Seosamh Ó hÓgartaigh, founding member and company secretary of Gaillimh le Gaeilge.

Gaillimh le Gaeilge in association with the Galway Advertiser is now welcoming nominations across four categories for businesses and organisations based in Galway city.

To help businesses prepare for the award, Gaillimh le Gaeilge is hosting an information evening in association with last year’s winners of the award, The Galleon, on Monday next January 20 at 6.30 pm.

The information evening will provide an excellent opportunity to chat with previous Gradam winners and find out how they went about achieving it. Roger O’Sullivan from The Galleon, will speak about winning Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh. Foireann Ghaillimh le Gaeilge will be happy to answer any questions and show you what to do in order to prepare for the Gradam.

The Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh local and national sponsors for 2014 will also be unveiled at the event. Application forms will be made available on the evening and refreshments will also be provided.

Whether you are a multinational or a one-man operation, this award is the perfect opportunity for any business or organisation to put themselves on the map as a company who is proud to make ‘an Ghaeilge’ their business. It is not essential to be a fluent Irish speaker to participate in the Gradam and as with previous years, and to encourage as many entries as possible, there is no charge!

There is plenty of time for any business or organisation to introduce ‘An Ghaeilge’ into the day to day running of their business and Gaillimh le Gaeilge is here to help you all the way through the ‘Gaeilge sa Ghnó’ service.

If you would like more information on this free service, please contact Gaillimh le Gaeilge on 091 568876 or email [email protected]. For further information about Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh and to enter online, please visit www.gleg.ie
