Fight Like Apes to play Strange Brew

FURIOUS SYNTHS, manic performances, inspired pop hooks, and outrageous songtitles will be the order of the day when Fight Like Apes return to Galway next month.

Fight Like Apes take a break from recording their third album to play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh on Thursday December 5 at 9pm.

The band have won acclaim for their albums Fight Like Apes and the Mystery of The Golden Medallion (2009 ) and The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner (2011 ). BBC Radio 1’s Steve Lamacq has described Fight Like Apes as inhabiting “a lonely place out on the periphery of the indie rock world”, and described their live performances as “some kind of pop exorcism”.

Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG, Shop Street (formerly Zhivago ), and The Róisín Dubh.
