With top American designer labels, great value for money, and excellent service, the Outlet Tuam has built up a strong reputation and will celebrate the milestone of one year in business by holding a customer appreciation night on Friday November 29 next.

Located in Shop Street, Tuam, the business was officially launched in October 2012 with the aim of bringing something different to the town in the form of the leading US brands priced at up to 60 per cent less than the recommended retail price.

Manager Tara Hanley, who has years of experience working in the retail fashion industry, explained that the idea for the store had come about after the owner had carried out a lot of market research and “thought there was a need for something different, with a bit of an edge, a quality shop for customers to visit and get designer labels for a lot less than the recommended retail price and that you won’t see anywhere else. The Outlet has a great buying team in the heart of the US, who are experts in picking out the right styles and brands for customers in the west of Ireland. We have all the top leading brands of very good quality.”

The Outlet, which currently employs three full-time and three part-time staff, specialises in providing great value in high quality ladies’ and children’s clothing. As the party season is fast approaching customers will find a wide range of dresses as well as coats, bags, and wallets.

Just because there are many discounts to be found at The Outlet does not mean there is a reduction in the level of customer service. Ms Hanley explains that she and the team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service, giving one-to-one attention, and helping customers find an item that really suits them. The dedication to ensuring customers enjoy a good experience at The Outlet is something that has been very important since the store first opened its doors.

“We were delighted with the reception we received when we opened. It has been really busy and we have a great customer base now who are very happy with the service provided and the variety of the clothes to choose from.

“It feels great to be one year in business as it is a local Irish owned business too. It has been a great addition to the town of Tuam and it’s great to see a business, that was set up in tough times, continuing to do well and keeping customers happy,” said Ms Hanley, before adding that The Outlet’s success lies in its large stock of good quality top labels at great prices.

The shop layout itself is very customer friendly with everything, including style and sizes, sectioned off. If finding the perfect pair of trousers or jeans seems like a bit of a nightmare then The Outlet may be a safe haven as there is a vast range of styles and sizes - from size 6 to 28 - to suit everyone. “It can be very difficult for women of all sizes to find the right fit but we have the service and the variety. There’s something here for everyone,” says Ms Hanley.

The children’s section is the port of call to find the perfect outfit for Christmas as there is an extensive range, for boys and girls, from newborns right up to 16 years. Here you will find a wide range of clothing which is all exceptionally good quality.

With gift vouchers also available The Outlet truly is the one-stop-shop for all your fashion needs or to find a Christmas gift for someone special.

The customer appreciation night on Friday November 29 will take place from 5pm to 8pm with 20 per cent off throughout the store, bubbly champagne, delicious nibbles, and for these cold evenings some festive mulled wine and mince pies. There will also be a couple of give-aways on the night. A bargain den, which will be located upstairs in store, will also be launched on the night and will continue for the month of December with all items, everything from tops, jeans, suits, children’s wear and much much more, priced at €5 and €10.

Ms Hanley explained: “We want to say thanks to our customers for their continued support since we opened the doors. I hope that they come and join us November 29 and enjoy some champagne. It’s our way of thanking them for helping to make the shop a success.”

Store opening times are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9.30 to 6pm, Friday 9.30 to 7pm, Saturday 9.30am to 6pm, and Sunday 12 noon to 5pm. There is free and low cost parking nearby. For more information contact 093-52520 or follow The Outlet on Facebook www.facebook.com/tuamoutlet
