Two American songwriters over two nights

AMERICAN SINGER-songwriters James Low, of The James Low Western Front, and Drew Landry, of Bandryland and Drew Landry & The Dirty Cajuns, play Galway.

As part of their co-headlining tour of Ireland and Britain, Low and Landry play The Townhouse Bar on Sunday November 17 and Monday 18.

Low has enjoyed considerable critical acclaim for his album with Low Western Front, Whiskey Farmer (2012 ), which The Irish Times called “low-key alt.country which leaves a satisfying taste”; The Telegraph described it as “an offbeat, original and...curiously enjoyable album”.

Louisiana’s Drew Landry has worked with Hank Williams III and supported Charlie Louvin, Dwight Yoakam, and Johnny Winter. His most recent album, Sharecropper’s Whine (2012 ) was called “vital, and represents a chance to hear something, maybe for the first time in a long while, that’ll lodge solidly in your gut,” by Blogcritics.org; while CountryChart.com said it was a “Cajun-influenced Americana masterwork”.
