Last race meeting of the year at Ballybrit this weekend

The Galway Races will take place over the Bank Holiday Weekend on Sunday, October 27 and on Monday, October 28 with the first race on Sunday at 1.25p.m and Monday 1.35p.m.

Patrons can look forward to two great days of competitive National Hunt racing with 14 races on the card which are all sponsored by local firms.

There is a total prize fund of just over €200,000 on offer which is sure to attract a host of well-known owners and trainers.The feature race on Sunday is The Faber Audiovisuals Ballybrit Novice Steeplechase and on Monday The Ennis Lifts Handicap Steeplechase.

You can be a winner off-track at Galway Races - Go racing on Monday October 28 and be in with a chance of winning a wonderful Shop and Stay Package, €500 shopping voucher for the Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre and two nights B&B and one evening meal in the Sheraton Athlone Hotel.

Receive your entry form at the turnstile on Monday, complete it and place it in the draw drum. Draw for this wonderful break will take place in the parade ring after the fifth race.
