Junior Film Fleadh storytelling competition seeks entries

YOUNG GALWEGIANS with ideas for feature films, short films, TV series, documentaries, web series, video games, animation, or combined media projects, are being sought.

The annual Junior Galway Film Fleadh Storytelling competition, in association with Foras na Gaeilge, Galway Film Centre and SpunOut.ie, is open to those aged between 10 and 18 at primary or secondary school.

Those interested should write a 500 word idea for a story in English or Irish, then practice it in front of family and friends, because, should that idea be one of the three shortlisted, you will be invited to present it in the Town Hall Theatre to an assembled audience and jury during the festival on Thursday November 14.

The prize is attendance at a drama or animation summer camp sponsored by Galway Film Centre and one year’s membership of the centre.

The closing date for entries is Friday October 18. Send entries to Junior Galway Film Fleadh Script Competition, 36D Merchants Dock, Merchants Road, Galway, or email [email protected] with Script Competition in the subject box. Entry forms are available from www.galwayfilmfleadh.com
