Eddie Hobbs to speak at Network Galway Event

Well known financial advisor Eddie Hobbs will be guest speaker at Network Galway’s monthly meeting on Wednesday September 4.

Hobbs will share financial advice tips and anecdotes about the dumb things people do with money and the dumb way parts of the country are run.

Best known for writing and presenting RTE’s 2005 blockbuster Rip Off Republic, Hobbs also presented RTE’s personal finance series Show Me The Money, entertainment programme 30 Things to do with your SSIA, The Consumer Show and My Civil War.

He has written four best sellers, including Energise, a book on how to invest in an age of high inflation. His business interests include clean energy and on-line marketing technologies and overseas property management. He is patron of The Jack & Jill’s Children Foundation and is married with four children, living in Co Kildare.

The president of Network Galway, Ciara O'Callaghan, says the event promises not only to give attendees financial tips, but Hobbs’ dynamic style will be hugely entertaining.

“We are delighted to have someone of Eddie Hobbs’ calibre as our guest speaker at this special event hosted by Galway Bay Golf Resort.”

Refreshments will be served throughout the event, which is open to members and non–members alike. There is a nominal fee of €10 for non-members.

The event takes place on September 4. at 6.30pm in the Galway Bay Golf Resort, Oranmore, Co Galway.
