Recalling Kinvara in the fifties

PAINTINGS INSPIRED by photographs taken of Kinvara in the 1950s will be on show at Murphystore on the Quay, Kinvara, from this weekend.

Kinvara In The 1950s by artist Mark Dwyer opens this Saturday at 7.30pm. The inspiration for the works comes from photos taken by anthropologist Robert Cresswell.

Dwyer held his first solo exhibition in 2007. His paintings have sold worldwide. One was presented to Barack Obama in the White House on St Patrick’s Day.
