Tonabrucky Challenge on Saturday

Rahoon Newcastle Hurling Club is calling on all runners, walkers and even strollers to take part in the third annual Tonabrucky Challenge which will take place this Saturday 8 June at 6pm.

The 6km road race, which is Athletics Association Ireland certificated, aims to raise money for charities CR, Croi and the Rahoon Newcastle Hurling Club.

The run/walk section of the race will start at 6pm with the buggy race starting at 6.10pm, followed by the junior Tonabrucky challenge at 6.15pm.

After the race particants can enjoy a fully catered barbecue and refreshments, while the fun kicks off on the pitch with wheelbarrow races, long puc, egg and spoon races, and several bouncing castles to keep all the family entertained.

Final online registrations close tomorrow, while on-the-day registration will take place from 5pm in the clubhouse in Tonabrucky. The cost of entry is €20 for a runner/walker and €5 for a junior with all entrants receiving a souvenir T shirt.
