Peter Delaney’s ‘secret show’

PETER DELANEY, the Limerick singer-songwriter and ukulele player has released a new album and plays a secret gig in Galway tomorrow at 9pm.

Peter’s new album Witch Bottle is released on Limerick independent label Out On A Limb Records.

Peter draws inspiration from traditional songs and old folk music as well as the lilting melancholy of vintage Hawaiian recordings. In 2007 he released his debut album Duck Egg Blue, which was re-released through Deadslackstring Records in 2011. He brought out a limited live CD through Apolloaan Recordings in 2010.

He was invited by Donal Dineen to play the main Body & Soul stage at Electric Picnic, and in 2009 he played the VPRO Dwars festival in Amsterdam. Peter is also a member of the band Red Eskimo.

Those wishing to attend the show should email [email protected] and see Facebook to find out the location. Support is from Rory Francis O’Brien and Brigid Power Ryce. Admission is €10/5 and includes a copy of the new CD.
