City Bin Co expansion continues with twelve new jobs in Galway IT hub

The City Bin Co, Galway’s primary waste disposal service, has announced that it is creating twelve new jobs in its IT department at its Oranmore headquarters.

In the past five months, 38 new recruits have been added to its Dublin and Galway offices. And this expansion is set to continue with a further 12 specialist roles currently being created in the IT department of the Galway branch.

These job vacancies will be filled by developers and testers in the company’s central headquarters in Oranmore.

The rapid expansion follows a large scale deal made with Middle Eastern environmental solutions provider, Averda, in 2012, and marks the beginning of a major European expansion over the coming years with Galway as the company’s European headquarters.

Gene Browne, CEO of The City Bin Co, said: “The City Bin Co has experienced rapid expansion over the past few months as we have grown our customer base in Dublin and Galway. We are also proud to be have been able to provide over 20 new skilled jobs in the Galway area as we lay the groundwork for expansion into Europe.”
