Baile an Salsa - an Irish/South American musical collision

LATIN AMERICAN salsa and Irish trad collide to exciting effect in the music of Baile an Salsa who play Monroe’s Live on Saturday February 23 at 9pm.

The band, who call their style of music ‘Salsa-Trad’, come from across the globe, featuring vocalist Andres Martorell (Uruguay ), salsa percussionist Alan Preims (Italy ), violinist Michael Chang (USA ), bassist Antonio Aguilar (Mexico ), percussionist Rags Ferguson (Ireland ), pianist Brid Dunne (Ireland ), mandolinist/guitarist Peter Brazier (Britain ), and percussionists Frailan Moran (Cuba ) and Ger Chambers (Ireland ).

Baile an Salsa perform mostly originals material. Expect to hear Irish trad, salsa, rumba, flamenco, and sean nós, and lyrics in Irish, Spanish, and English.
