FOLLOWING THE release of her new album Spectators, Canadian singer-songwriter Amelia Curran plays Monroe’s Live on Saturday February 16 at 9pm.
Since the release of her first album in 2000, Curran has amassed an impressive discography which has earned various East Coast Music Award nominations including ‘Folk Recording Of The Year’ and ‘Female Recording Of The Year’.
However her 2009 album Hunter, Hunter won the Juno Award, Canada’s equivalent of the Grammy’s, for Best Roots and Traditional Album. Spectators however, pushes beyond the folk boundaries of previous releases, to include brass, strings, piano, and Dixieland.
