New video goes behind the scenes at O’Donnellan & Joyce auctions

Renowned film and video production company Buster Drive Productions, which is headed by acclaimed American producer Eileen Lauster, currently living in Ireland, has recorded a video of O’Donnellan & Joyce property auctions which can be viewed on YouTube or on O’Donnellan & Joyce’s website.

According to Lauster the video gives people interested in selling or buying a property by public auction a great insight into the auction process. It also shows the tremendous work that goes into the co-ordination of an auction in order to achieve a sale.

The video goes right through the auction process and shows everything that O’Donnellan & Joyce does to maximise the price and the result, by maximising the exposure of the property by extensively advertising in conjunction with the auction.

It gives a great insight into values and shows that the clients selling properties for €70,000 or up to €700,000, are all treated the same and are of the utmost importance to the auctioneers.

“I was surprised by the enormous work and of the attendance at the O’Donnellan & Joyce auctions and the incredible amount of property transactions that took place during the course of the auction,” Lauster said. One of the things that surprised her was that once the auctioneer’s gavel fell, the highest bidder was taken out of the auction room to a private room, contracts were signed and exchanged immediately with a 10 per cent deposit unconditional, and the sales were not subject to loans.

The auction method makes sense for anyone who wants to sell a property in the current climate. Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce said the auction team were delighted with the video. For people interested in auctioning their property, this video can be viewed on YouTube by searching for O’Donnellan & Joyce Property Auctions, or on the agent’s website www.odonnjoyce.com Details of O’Donnellan & Joyce forthcoming auctions are available from the auction team at 091 564212.
