Bish Christmas fundraiser

St Joseph’s College Rowing Club is holding a Christmas cake sale and coffee morning on Saturday to raise funds for the club.

The event will be held at St Pat’s primary school on Lombard Street in the city centre, across the road from the Saturday morning market.

The cake sale and coffee morning will take place on Saturday, December 15, and will run from 10am to 2pm. There will be a host of activities taking place at the event, including novelty quizzes, mini raffles, carol singing and surprises throughout the morning. Santa and Mrs Claus will also be making an appearance and there will also be a monster raffle with some great prizes.

Everyone is welcome and a particular appeal is being extended to former Bish pupils and oarsmen to come along with their families.

The Bish Rowing Club is one of the most successful in the country and in 2012 won both the Irish schools’ and junior title for the second year in a row.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the fundraising event - perhaps donate a cake or some other bakery products - can contact Bernie Poole at [email protected] or 087-1249809.
