A Galway couple charged in relation to an alleged assault in which a man was left with serious facial injuries after being attacked with the heel of a shoe have been remanded on continuing bail.

Aishling Lally (25 ) with an address at 64 Cnoc An Oir, Rahoon, and Laurence Mahon (25 ) with an address at 2 Ballyglass, Kilconnell, Ballinasloe, appeared before Galway District Court on Monday both charged with assault, contrary to Section 2 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, and threatening and abusive behaviour, contrary to Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order ) Act, at Prospect Hill on July 28, 2012.
