A young Athenry man accused of stalking and harrassing a person and issuing threats to kill or cause serious harm has been further remanded on continuing bail.
Twenty-year-old Dale Conlon with an address at Lackaghmore, Turloughmore, Athenry, appeared at Galway District Court on Monday charged with one count of harassement/stalking on July 1, 2012, another count of harassement/stalking on July 3, criminal damage on July 4, 2012, and two counts of threatening to kill or cause serious harm to a person on July 5, 2012, all at Monroe, Knockdoe, Claregalway. He was further charged with assault at Eyre Square, Galway, on June 24, 2012.
Inspector Brendan Carroll made an application for a further adjournment as the directions of the DPP were not yet available.
Defence solicitor Valerie Corcoran informed the court that there would be no objection to the matter being adjourned.
Judge Mary Fahy then further remanded Conlon on continuing bail, by consent, to appear again at Galway District Court on November 26 for the DPP directions.
