Citóg @ The Cellar

“IT WOULD be surprising if this band didn’t join the mainstays of the modern folk music world to become known as Ireland's best of the genre.”

So said GoldenPlec.com about Dublin based indie-folk band Red Sail who play Citóg at The Cellar tonight from 9pm.

The band mix piano and guitars with vocal harmonies and electronic influences. The 2 U I Bestow Blog said “their indie-folk sound is simply gorgeous and reminds me a little of a lo-fi Belle & Sebastian.”

The band’s début EP Paper Cutouts was released in May and is available to download from iTunes and Bandcamp.

Also on the bill are Galway duo Philadelphia Tea Party, whose influences include Bruce Springsteen, Lou Reed, and Phil Lynott; and Brisbane’s Clare Quinn, a folk-rock singer- songwriter.

Admission is free.
