Drug dealing accused sent for trial

A 29-year-old man charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell or supply has been sent forward for trial.

Hermains Vills (29 ) with an address at 11a Dun Na Mara Drive, Renmore, Galway, appeared at Galway District Court on Monday charged with five counts of possessing drugs which included cannabis, methylamphetamine, methylenedioxymethylamphetamine, cocaine, and diamorphine, as well as two counts of possession of drugs - methylamphetamine and cannabis - with intent to sell or supply, contrary to Section 3 and Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, at his residence on January 21, 2012.

Garda Patrick Noone gave evidence of serving the book of evidence on the defendant on the morning of the court sitting. Inspector Mick Coppinger further explained that the Director of Public Prosecutions has consented to the accused being returned for trial to the next sittings of Galway Circuit Criminal Court commencing October 4.
