Give Danny Dowling a spanking

ESTABLISHED AND up and coming comedians will take to the stage of the Róisín Dubh in August for the venue’s Brand Spanking New nights.

It all starts on Wednesday August 1 at 8.30pm. The format is for new and emerging comedians to perform a seven minute set while an established headliner will deliver seven minutes of new material.

The headliner for next Wednesday will be Colum McDonnell, who has appeared on The Republic of Telly, The Savage Eye, and Podge and Rodge, as well as The Paramount Comedy Channel’s The World Stands Up.

Also performing will be John Sheehan, Michael Noone, Sean Nolan, Lorna Forde, Emmet Quinn, and John O’Malley.

The host is New Zealand comic Danny Dowling, who has supported Tommy, played the major comedy festivals in Ireland, and won the Galway edition of TV3’s Come Dine With Me Ireland.
