Two chances to see Tumbling Bones

AMERICAN BLUEGRASS, folk, and blues band Tumbling Bones play Foyles Hotel, Clifden, tonight and Kelly’s in Galway city on Wednesday August 1.

The band, whose members hail from Virginia and New York play traditional music and infuse it with contemporary rock. They view traditional music as a “living, breathing” thing and not some “museum piece”.

Tumbling Bones are looking forward to playing Ireland. “Every time we come here we’re amazed by the beauty of the country and the hospitality of the people,” say the band. “Folks here seem to really appreciate traditional music.”

The band’s debut EP Risk Not Your Soul (2011 ) reached the Top Ten on Roots Music Report’s Folk Radio Chart, and their latest record Schemes was just released this summer.

Both shows start at 10pm. See www.tumblingbones.com/tour
