So Cow @ Strange Brew

SO COW, the brilliant indie pop-rock trio led by Tuam singer-songwriter Brian Kelly, take to the stage of Strange Brew at the Róisín Dubh next week.

So Cow’s songs are short, witty, melodic slices of hook filled, indie-pop, often with a 1970s’ feel. He has released three albums to date - I’m Siding With My Captors, So Cow, and Meaningless Friendly.

The band have performed at the Primavera Sound Music festival in Barcelona and been favourably reviewed in Pitchfork. In Ireland, Hotpress said of his music: “It’s the sort of natural, unaffected pop record that Irish acts don’t make often enough” while The Irish Times said “So Cow deals in delicious vocal harmonies, clever percussion ideas, sweet stereo tricks, and scorching sounds that skim the skyline of great modern guitar music.”

So Cow play on Thursday July 12 at 9pm. Support is from Girl Band. Admission is €5.
