Applications for GMIT culinary courses will close next Friday

Applications for GMIT Hotel School culinary programmes will close on Friday May 18 and those interested in a career in the hospitality industry are advised to apply now.

GMIT is offering a number of part-time culinary programmes aimed at those wishing to gain qualifications in professional cookery. The BA in culinary arts degree (part-time ) and culinary traineeship (advanced certificate in professional cookery ) will afford those already working in the food industry with the opportunity to develop their skills further. Students will also gain an industry-recognised qualification.

For those who would like a change of career and have a passion for the culinary arts, GMIT offers the total immersion chef programme (TICP advanced certificate in professional cookery ). This intensive course aims give participants the necessary attributes to be employed in chef positions across the hospitality industry. Graduates will have qualifications which will lead them to chef de partie, sous chef and head chef positions.
