Amberley Montessori, now 10 years in operation, offers a fun-filled environment which nurtures each child’s early learning and development.
A broad, balanced curriculum is provided combining the Montessori teaching and materials with a range of daily play-based activities and unique weekly themes to ensure that children are constantly challenged. Visits from the fireman, nurse, and lollipop man created great excitement in the preschool this year. Children are encouraged to explore the wide range of creative play activities based on the Aistear curriculum to nurture creativity and imagination and support children to become competent and confident learners, preparing them for primary education and beyond.
Bridie Thornton, teacher and proprietor, has 12 years’ Montessori teaching experience and is currently undertaking a BA in early childhood studies and practice in NUIG. She believes that a happy, stimulating environment that captures children’s interests and unique potential is the key to the success of Amberley Montessori.
