Fiat Ducato van and Grande Punto reach major milestones

The Fiat Ducato has achieved a major milestone with production reaching two million units since the launch of the first version in 1981.

The Ducato has been a much-loved vehicle for more than 25 years. It is popular with self-employed workers such as tradespeople, shopkeepers, and farmers, while also being a favourite of big companies and special clients such as local authorities, the police, government departments. and health authorities.

It is much appreciated by bodyshops-converters specialising in the leisure sector (campers, caravans, motorhomes ) or special public transport (minibuses, school buses, ambulances, disabled vehicles ) and goods (box trucks, insulated trucks, armoured vehicles for transporting valuables, mobile shops ).

Meanwhile the millionth Grande Punto car has just come off the production lines. This model was launched in 2005 and was the heir of two best-sellers: the first Punto (from 1993 to 1999 ) of which 3.5 million were manufactured, while the second series (launched in 1999 and currently still on sale in some markets ) exceeded 3 million.
