Industry accolade for Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs after less than a decade in business

Frank Byrnes from Oranmore has captured one of the biggest awards in the Irish Motor Industry.

At a special ceremony held in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin last Thursday night, Mr Byrnes picked up the award for 'Irish Bodyshop of the Year' at the SIMI Irish Motor Industry Awards in association with Castrol Professional.

The award is all the more remarkable for the Oranmore man given that he only opened his business in June 2003.

In a hugely competitive field, Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs beat off some of the stiffest competition in the business to land the prestigious prize.

"I am absolutely delighted with the award. Our mission statement drafted in 2005 was to become the best bodyshop in the country and thankfully we have achieved that tonight. It's a dream come true for myself and all the team who've worked so hard over the years to make us the best at what we do,” he said afterwards.

Frank Byrnes started his business 'Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs' in 2003 and has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

He opened in Clarenbridge nine years ago before moving to a purpose built premises in Oranmore in 2008.

For a state of the art “Autobody shop” of this age, his company has excelled over the years with massive growth in business, technology, customers, insurance and manufacture approvals including some of the top brands in the world such as Mercedes Benz, Honda and Volkswagen.

They are hugely renowned for their excellent customer service and have always stressed the importance that “our business is about taking out the post stress of any accident”. The company has seen everything from cars to helicopters come through its doors.

They have also given a huge amount back to their loyal customers by running “Family Fun Days” and raising thousands for local charities.
