Annette Buckley to play Garvey’s

ANNETTE BUCKLEY, the Cork singer-songwriter, whose music has been called “haunting and deeply original” by the Irish Independent, plays Galway next week.

Annette, currently on tour to promote her new single ‘Happy Go Lucky’, plays The Rosewood Sessions in Garvey’s Bar, Eyre Square, on Wednesday at 9pm.

Her debut album The Ever Changing Colours of the Sea earned her glowing reviews in the Irish music press, including an 8.5/10 from Hotpress, and it was featured on HMV’s collection of Ireland’s best new music.

Her vocal style is influenced by Billie Holiday and Bjork, and The Irish Times has called her “one of Cork’s most accomplished singer/songwriters”.

She has opened for Imelda May, Florence & the Machine, The Magic Numbers, Villagers, Lisa Hannigan and Duke Special.
