THE FORGE at Gort literary festival, organised by the Western Writers’ Centre, returns on Friday March 30 and Saturday 31.
Writers taking this year include storyteller Eddie Lenihan; Galway’s Gerard Hanberry, whose biography of the Wilde family has reserved critical acclaim; poet and playwright Martin Dyer; poet Mary Ellen Fean; as well as Ciaran O’Driscoll, Knute Skinner, and Clare’s The Three-Leggéd Stool poets.
The festival will host a workshop on creative writing with writer and novelist Fred Johnston; Margaretta D’Arcy and John Arden will present another chapter from their Tea With George Moore series; and there will be music. Full details will be released next month.
