THE ELECTION of African-American Barack Obama as the 44th president of the USA has been welcomed the world over, but especially by black populations.
Galway’s African community will celebrate president-elect Obama’s victory at the Obama 2008 Victory - Yes We Can! -Party in Coyotes Late Bar & Club, Forster Street, this Sunday.
The party is being hosted by the Afro-Renaissance group in association with Coyotes. It starts at 7pm and will continue until 2am. The Mayor of Galway Cllr Padraig Conneely will be among the special guests.
