Gardai appeal following spate of burglaries

Gardai in Galway are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries which have taken place in a number of areas over the past few days.

An apartment on Presentation Road, Galway was broken into on Monday, November 7, between 8pm and 10pm. As a result a black LG Television and a Nokia L97 were taken. On the previous day, Sunday November 6, at 2.40am an apartment in Cluian Riocard, Headford Road, was broken into, with the culprits being disturbed. Two males in their 20s and wearing dark clothing were seen fleeing the scene.

On November 5 between 6.30pm and 9.20pm a house in the Cardinal Cushing Road area of Mervue was broken into and clothing was taken. On the same evening a burglary took place at a house in the Glenview Drive estate in Riverside between 5.30pm and 7.30pm and a sum of money was taken.

On Friday, November 4 between 1.30pm and 2.30pm a house was broken into in Gortroe, Corrandulla and a laptop was taken as a result. On the same date between 7.30am and 3pm a house was broken into in Kilcahill, Claregalway and a sum of money was taken. A commercial premises in the Riveroaks estate in Claregalway was broken into on Tuesday, November 1, at approximately 3am and a sum of money was taken.
