Moycullen Co-op Christmas market to turn back the years

Calling all artists, crafts people, and artisan food specialists, the Co Op Moycullen will be starting will be hosting a festive indoor market from Saturday November 26.

The Co Op was built at the turn of the 20th century as a farmers cooperative where people came together to trade, to barter, to meet with neighbours, to talk about the weather, the crops and the price of pigs.

This state of the art historically preserved building was painstakingly restored by native Galwegian Frank Heneghan whose grand parents came from the Tullykyne and Portcarron area at the time the cooperative was initiated.

The Christmas market will be open each Saturday from 9am to 5pm on the upper tier of the Co Op while on the ground floor the Co Op will be serving excellent seasonal meals, snacks, and drinks much like the Cork indoor market.

All interested parties who would like to participate can contact Frank Heneghan at 087 2402222
