Flying start for Corrib Boxing and Kickboxing Club

Corrib Boxing and Kickboxing Club is situated in Claregalway Corporate Park. Sean and Sinead Cumiskey are the head instructors there, along with several other coaches and a full committee.

Sean Cumiskey has been involved in boxing for 18 years and kickboxing for almost six years, and he holds various titles in both sports.

Sinead Cumiskey has trained in karate for 11 years and holds three black belts in karate. She has also been kickboxing for eight years and also has a black belt in the sport.

Both Sean and Sinead Cumiskey are certified in children’s code of ethics and first aid.

The club has been a huge success in its first month and already has more than 100 members.

Corrib Boxing and Kickboxing Club is a fully equipped gym with a full size ring, fully matted with eight punch bags, kick shields, speed balls, etc, along with changing and shower facilities.

The club has a very busy schedule between now and Christmas, beginning with a beginners’ kickboxing course starting October 25. Beginners’ boxing will start on October 26, and a five-week self defence (street awareness ) course for women, taught by Paul Sylvester, will begin on October 28.
