The Galway Arts Centre is seeking Galwegians aged between 14 and 23, with a keen interest in the arts, to help set up a youth committee.
The centre is seeking to establish a committee run by youths for youths and to enable young people to make the decisions from the idea stage of a project to the realisation.
The centre is looking for 10 to 15 young people to form the committee and it will be an opportunity to experience how the arts work as a business; learn the basics of administration for the arts; and be involved in mentored workshops with professionals on visual art, theatre, dance, and film.
Artist Louise Manifold will be the first professional artist to work with the newly formed committee. Those interested in finding out more and/or applying should contact Fiona Hession at [email protected]
