John Butler Sports Clinic is providing another first in Galway city with its new cryotherapy spa bath, ideal for all active people whatever standard they are performing at.

The cryotherapy bath operates at temperatures from 0ºC to 14ºC, with a high content of salt and 50 high powered jets to give a full rigorous massage to the muscles.

Cryotherapy has been scientifically proven to greatly increase recovery for all muscular and skeletal injuries, and will allow athletes to train harder and more frequently due to the increased recovery times from bath use.

To launch the new cryotherapy facility an open day was held on Saturday October 8. All money raised at the event went to Voices of Galway, a charity dedicated to providing speech therapy for children with Down syndrome in Galway city and county, which is run and solely funded by the children’s parents and friends.

The clinic is open early mornings and late evenings, by appointment only, to facilitate people who wish to attend outside working hours.
