Hear Mozart and Tchaikovsky in NUIG

THE GALWAY Sinfonietta orchestra, will perform music by Mozart and Tchaikovsky, in the Bailey Allen Hall, Áras na Mac Léinn, NUI, Galway next week.

Formed by Joanne Cater and John Roe, the orchestra’s aim is to develop performance skills for young and established musicians and to provide a platform for both teacher and student solo performers.

The concert will be conducted by John Roe and the soloist will be Micheal Dooley who will perform Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto. The programme will also feature Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings and Brahms’ Serenade No. 2.

The concert takes place on Saturday August 20 at 7pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
