Ford tells us that dealers across the country will kick off a special 10 day ‘week’ next Friday, centring on the launch of the new Ford Fiesta.
As well as special offers on the 09 range of Ford models, there is the chance to enter a draw to win a €5,000 shopping spree with an RTE Off The Rails stylist.
Star of Off the Rails Live at the RDS later this month, the new Ford Fiesta is already turning heads with its dynamic new styling and effervescent character. Its gorgeous good looks are not the extent of its appeal, however. With seven airbags, it is the safest small car Ford has built, and with alloy wheels, four-speaker remote audio CD, and fog lights as standard, it is also the best equipped.
“The stylish look of the new Fiesta will see it attract young buyers in their thousands,” explains Denis McSweeney, marketing director of Ford Ireland. “That said, Fiesta is a real all-rounder, and the space, performance, and specification of this car will appeal to a whole spectrum of motorists.”
Ford says the best-selling Ford Mondeo and Focus models offer snazzy extras like alloy wheels, parking sensors, and BlueTooth voice control at a fraction of the normal price, but, as Denis McSweeney warns, these are limited offers. “Limited stocks mean these deals will not be available in January, so it’s imperative to order early.”
In addition, Ford says there is a special one-off trade-in bonus for customers opting for the environmentally-friendly Focus Flexifuel. Running on either bio-ethanol or conventional petrol, this model enjoys a tax rebate of almost €2,500, making it the cheapest Focus on the market.
It’s not just new car buyers that Ford dealers are reaching out to next week. Strong new car sales in 2008 have left Ford dealerships with a healthy supply of quality used cars, with plenty of bargains in these cost-conscious times, especially on the Focus, which is one of the best regarded used cars on the market.
“There’s no denying that the current climate brings added emphasis on value for money, and there’s lots of it on offer here,” concludes Denis McSweeney. “With up to €1,000 to be saved on several models, it makes sound sense to pre-order for January over this 10-day period.”
The 10-day week starts Friday November 7 and runs until Monday November 17.
