Kenna issues rallying cry

Galway United's Jeff Kenna is appealing for the Galway sporting public to rally around the team for Friday's "do or die" game against Finn Harps at Terryland Park (7.35pm ).

Kenna believes now is the time for the Galway public to be counted as his side heads into the “most important game of the season”.

"Over the last few months the crowds have grown larger and louder, and now, with such a defining final home game on Friday, it's their chance to play a part in this."

With UCD already relegated, United battle it out with Finn Harps and Cobh Ramblers to climb from the remaining two relegation spots.

"With our last two remaining games against Finn Harps and UCD, our fate is essentially in our own hands."

A win against Harps will lift United above them in the table, and with a better goal difference than Cobh, they are in a strong position to avoid the drop.
