Mayor launches annual Mayoral Charity Ball

The mayor of the city of Galway Cllr Michael Crowe has this week announced the annual Mayoral Charity Ball. The event will be held in the Clayton Hotel on Saturday June 25. Commenting at the launch of the event the Mayor stated:

“I am delighted to announce details of this annual calendar event and look forward immensely to the occasion. I am very conscious of the times we live in and the many difficulties that people are experiencing and therefore decided that this ball would only go ahead on the basis that I

could keep the ticket prices at a very reasonable price. I am delighted to say that working with the hotel, entertainers, and others I have been able to substantially reduce costs on other years. Therefore the ticket prices this year will be €65 each and are available through Enable Ireland, Cope Galway, ISPCC and Cara Diamonds. The prices of tickets are substantially down on previous years and as a result will be more accessible to a lot more people, which I feel is very important.

“Working with the chosen charities I hope that the people respond by supporting this night for these very worthy causes. Now, more than ever, charities need our support in order to help many people who are less fortunate. I would also like to thank all sponsors and in particular Aine Walsh of Cara Diamonds who has given a wonderful diamond ring which will be raffled on the night.”
