Major water-leak left for full week without repair, says Conneely

A major water-leak at the Lower Salthill/ Whitestrand Avenue junction has been left for a full week without repair, according to city councillor Padraig Conneely.

“This leak has turned into a stream of running water and Galway City Council’s Road and Infrastructure Department has allowed this leak to go unrepaired over the busy June Bank Holiday weekend.”

Cllr Conneely said: “The City council has a duty to ensure that water leaks on public roads are repaired as soon as possible and to avoid the unnessessary waste of public water.”
