Kelvin Busher to launch debut album in Kelly’s

A HOST of local and national talent can be found on Vintage, the debut album from Kelvin Busher, which will be launched with a gig in Kelly’s on Thursday June 2 at 9pm.

Kelvin Busher was born and raised in Wexford and grew up listening to Slim Whitman, Elvis, and later on discovering Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Johnny Cash, all of which has gone into shaping his own music.

Now based in Galway, Kevin has been writing songs for the past number of years and recording sessions in Shay Studios, Loughrea; The Forge, Galway city; and Vicar Street Studio in Dublin, which has produced Vintage, Kevin’s debut album.

Vintage contains 11 tracks and features Sharon Shannon; London jazz drummer Tom Hooper; guitarist Conor Brady (Gerry Fish and The Commitments ); Black Magic Big Band’s Pat Corless; and Niall Teague (Niall Teague and the Fast Company ).

Admission is free.
